Client story: Sophia, lawyer
I recently started a new job and I was worried about whether I would fit in and whether I was good enough for my new role. Sam helped me with a number of exercises to put myself in the shoes of my new colleagues and to see how they would perceive me…only to realise I am fitting in to my new team just fine and that I’m probably performing at the standard expected of my level / a new employee.
Sam also made me realise that I should not be scared to ask questions of my new colleagues (where I was worried about sounding inexperienced and/or not intelligent to them, which meant that I was avoiding seeking help when I probably needed this most). Sam encouraged me to ask questions and to realise that I can learn lots of things from my new colleagues by asking these questions… and I can now confirm that she was / is right!
Every time I feel inadequate and I feel like I have not done a good job of something (whether in my job or in life generally), I still hear her say: “but what is the evidence for that?” and I realise I am not under-performing at all!
Sam is very understanding of each of her clients and how different they are. She will tailor all her sessions to the specific needs of her clients and she is a great listener. I particularly liked when she shared her own experiences and examples during the coaching sessions – this brought our sessions to life and made me realise that I was not alone. She also went above and beyond to provide me with additional exercises to work on outside of our sessions and podcasts to listen to. I can confirm that she is truly a great coach (and an inspiration) and I would highly recommend her if you are considering coaching.
